Nico Guilis lenses a sun-filled salute to surf culture
with professional wave-rider Bruna Schmitz.
When makeup-artist-turned-photographer Nico Guilis launched her online travel, beauty and lifestyle platform Find Your California in 2014, the SoCal native hoped to broadcast the region’s passionate, positive vibes via an inspiring, female-only roster of influencers, “It” girls and athletes who embody the same attitude. Guilis refers to this mindset as “the stoke” and she’s out to share it with women worldwide. To get sufficiently stoked on Summer, we asked Guilis to team up with pro surfer Bruna Schmitz to capture the swimsuits and sun-soaked streets of Hermosa Beach, CA—not to mention the surf that has lured wave-worshippers there for decades.
