Amazing Glaze
One of our favorite recipe bloggers, Adrianna Adarme
of A Cozy Kitchen, bakes us a beauty batch of
Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor doughnuts.
Doughnuts are always a crowd-pleaser, but they’re also the perfect canvas for color. And when we spent the day with Adrianna Adarme, the ultra-creative, color-loving blogger behind recipe site A Cozy Kitchen, we couldn’t believe all of the eye-catching, mouthwatering possibilities.
Adarme started with her go-to baked doughnut recipe, then created three different glazes, one for each finish of Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor—matte, metallic and vinyl. They say you are what you eat; we say, why not wear it? Scroll to the right to get the recipes for her doughnuts and each shade-matched glaze below.
Baked Vanilla Doughnuts
Makes 10
Dry:
- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet:
- 1/2 cup shaken buttermilk
- 1 vanilla bean, scraped
- 1 large egg
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
Step 1
To make the doughnuts: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a doughnut pan with cooking spray.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until combined. Transfer the batter to a large ziplock bag. Snip off the end and pipe the doughnut pan cavities until they’re about 3/4 of the way full. Transfer to the oven to bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes in the pan and then invert the doughnuts onto a rack.

Step 4
Pour the sugar mixture over the white chocolate chips and allow to sit for 2 minutes. Using an immersion blender, blend the mixture until smooth. Pour through a sieve into a separate bowl. Add the food coloring and allow to sit until temperature reads 90°. Spoon the glaze over the doughnuts and let stand 5 minutes until set.
